Alpheus Weidner Jr.

Alpheus S. ""Alf"" Weidner Jr., 93, of Venice, FL, formerly of Toms River, NJ, passed away on June 11, 2018. Alf was born on September 23, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, to Alpheus S. Weidner Sr. and Ida Marie Weidner. He worked for Jersey Central Power and Light as a Builder Representative. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving during WWII on submarines. Alf was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Submarine Veterans, Shriners, Antique Car Club, and Volunteer Paramedics in Toms River, NJ. Survivors include his sons, Roger Weidner of Bradenton, FL and Alpheus S. Weidner III of Columbia, TN; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14th at 6PM at Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, c/o Shriners, 600 N. Beneva Road, Sarasota, FL, 34232.
