Angelica Kotick

Angelica Kotick, age 95, of Venice, passed away July 5, 2016. She was born March 2, 1921 in Puerto Rico. She came to Venice in 1990 from Miami, where she was a Home Economics teacher for the Miami-Dade School System for 15 years. She worked at Beall's department store in Venice for 9 years. Surviving family members include her two daughters, Alice Nieves and Victoria (husband, Gonzalo) Recio; two grandsons Dennis and Victor; six great-grandchildren Samantha, Shannan, Tyler, Avaryanna, Xavier, and LeeEmry; and one great-great-grandchild, Siena. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Friday, July 8th at 11 am. Burial is to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery at 2:30 pm. Memorial donations are to be made to the American Cancer Society in Angelica's name.
