Anthony "Tony" Michael Federico
Dec 11, 1947 — Aug 8, 2026
With deep love, we remember Dad, Gramps, Husband and friend to many Anthony “Tony” Michael Federico who died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday August 8th, 2026. He was 78 years old.
Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Tony built a life defined by dedication, compassion, and unwavering love for those closest to him. A Chief Engineer for Xerox for many years, he was known for his sharp mind, tireless work ethic, self-proclaimed toughest son-of-a-bitch you knew, and deep pride in his craft. His career was marked by innovation and he held multiple patents. As an engineer he was creative and a talented problem solver, a skill that he carried into his home life, always finding ways to fix or mend projects around the house.
Outside of work, Tony found joy in the outdoors. He loved to spend time outside golfing, fishing, riding his bike, and searching for shark teeth on the beach with his grandchildren. His greatest devotion was always to his family. Fiercely protective and endlessly generous, Tony would do anything for those he loved. His grandchildren were the center of his world, and he made sure they knew it every single day. Some of his happiest moments were spent taking them around the golf course in carts, watching the sunset and hoping to spot an alligator along the ponds.
He was predeceased by his parents, Anthony Daniel Federico and Dorothy Federico (Gionta). He is survived by his wife, loving and loyal wife Cheryl “Snoozie”, and his three sons: Jim, Ron, and Don. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Aleo, and her husband, Anthony Aleo. Jim and his wife Kristen have four children: Emma, Madeline, Charlie, and Oliver. Ron and his wife Sharon have two children: Emily and Abby. Don and his wife Jessica have two children: Lucas and Zachary.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fuck!-Alzheimer’s Association in Tony’s honor.
