Arden August Bartz

Arden August Bartz, age 84, of Venice, FL passed away on May 31, 2017. He was born on January 24, 1933 to Mary Elizabeth (nee Pugh) and Julius August Bartz in Packwaukee, WI. Arden was a Military Police officer in the U.S. Army. For 27 years, Arden was a master gardener at Echo Glenn Juvenile Correction in Bellevue, WA until he retired in 1997 and relocated to Venice, FL. He was involved in the Mayflower Society, the Sons of the American Revolution, The Huguenot Society, and the American Legion. Arden is survived by his wife Barbra (nee Stephens) Bartz, and daughters Melisa (nee Bartz) Peiser and Jayna (nee Bartz) Bovre and families. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6th at 10:00 am at the Lakeside Lutheran Church, 2401 South Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL 34293. Service will follow at 11:00 am, and will then proceed to Venice Memorial Gardens.
