Barbara Perry
Jan 27, 1929 — Dec 25, 2016
Barbara Jean Perry, 87, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Boston MA and Memphis TN, died peacefully on December 25, 2016. Born January 27, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio, she is predeceased by her parents, Arthur Phillip and Mary Olive Crepps, and her sister, Alice Ann Crepps.
Barbara was a loving homemaker, completely devoted to her family. She moved to New England in the early 1950s, where she met and married Harold Perry on May 17, 1957, in Boston MA. She loved New England and all that it has to offer. Barbara was an avid bridge player and exceptional seamstress in years past. She was an outstanding cook and always a gracious hostess when she entertained. She loved to travel in past years. She and Harold enjoyed many wonderful trips together, across the United States and Canada, and to the lovely island of Bermuda, a place dear to both of them, which brought her many beautiful memories. Barbara was a lovely lady, inside and out, and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Harold Perry, and two adoring daughters, Andrea (Cummings) Marlow of Venice FL, and Marcia (Mark) Dominick, of Austin TX. In addition, she leaves a niece, Jennifer Easley and her family, of Boxford MA, and two nephews, Adam Perry and his family, of Medfield MA, and C. James Harris and his family, of Boca Raton FL. Barbara loved and adored her family, including her beloved poodle, Beau, who was always at her side, and her grand-dogs, Kona and JP. All are very thankful for special times and treasured memories.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Springs of Lake Pointe Woods and Tidewell Hospice for their excellent care in the final days of her life's journey. A memorial service and celebration of life for Barbara will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis TN or Tidewell Hospice of Sarasota FL. Arrangements are handled by Farley Funeral Home, Venice FL.
