Betty Marie Newmyer

Betty Marie Newmyer, age 95, died at her home in Venice, FL on February 2, 2015. Her death was by natural causes. Betty was born June 22, 1919 in Houston TX. She lived most of her adult life in Oakland County MI, the last 7 years in Venice, FL with her daughter Pat Halsted. She worked much of her working life with her husband Jim Newmyer in property development and real estate. She loved playing golf with her friends and husband and was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include her 4 children, Wes Newmyer, Cathy Ellenbrook, Paul Newmyer and Pat Halsted, as well as 11 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Wesley Newmyer Sr. Services will be announced at a future date.
