Beverly Macinnis
d. Jan 6, 2018
Beverly “Bev” Marie MacInnis (nee Northrup) passed away on January 6, 2018 in Englewood, FL (winter residence) due to complications of pneumonia. She was 70.
Bev was born on February 13, 1947, in Detroit, MI to her parents, Arthur and Noreen Northrup. She followed her twin sister into the family, and preceded her brother Tom (Nadine). She graduated from Detroit Rosary Highschool in 1965. Bev married John A. MacInnis in 1970. The MacInnis' moved to Canton, MI where she proudly raised three children, Shawn (Mindy), Mark, and Katie, and worked for an automotive company. The family enjoyed spending summers in McKinley, MI where Bev was often found relaxing at her favorite spot near the Au Sable River. Bev retired in 2007, and she and John were able to spend more time at their winter home. She then enjoyed spending her summers in Michigan and winters in Florida. She was an active member at the Holiday Estates I & II (Englewood, FL) clubhouse where she enjoyed volunteering for events, meeting members, and could always be counted on to bring a pot of chili.
Beloved wife of John, loving mother of Shawn (Mindy), Mark, and Katie. Proud Grandmother of Lilly and Keyton. Dear twin sister of Sr. Barbara Northrup, IHM and brother Thomas (Nadine). Sister-in-law of Leo and Barbara MacInnis and Aunt of Kenny.
Memorial services to be held in Englewood, FL on January 21st from 11 - 1 at Holiday Estates I & II Club House (1445 Seagull Dr.) and summer 2018 in Pickney, MI.
