Bonnie Rich, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving children. Born on September 7, 1935, Bonnie lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, hard work, and devotion to her family.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Rich, with whom she shared many years of marriage, partnership, and dedication. Together, they owned and operated the Wee Blew Inn in Venice for over 20 years. Through their commitment and tireless work, they built not only a successful business but a place filled with warmth, community, and lasting memories. After many years of hard work, they eventually sold the restaurant to enjoy a well-earned retirement.
Bonnie was a loving mother to her three children: Jimmy Gross, Lisa Homer, and Bobby Rich. She was also a proud grandmother to Mindy Tompkins, George Homer, III, Lindsey Rich, Shalei Rich, Cody Rich, Kiley Rich and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she had for those closest to her.
Bonnie’s life was one of resilience, dedication, and quiet grace. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A visitation for Bonnie will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM with the service to immediately follow. Entombment will be private at Venice Memorial Gardens. To send a condolence or memory please visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com .
