Brian E. Woodworth, born Jan. 1, 1956 in Bangor Maine. In high school he was a promising multi-sport athlete who was a promising pitcher and would earn a scholarship to the University of Maine Presque Isle where he was later inducted into their hall-of-fame. He was drafted out of high school by the Boston Red Sox, as a lifelong fan, but would play in the Kansas City Royal's minor league organization. After traveling in North and Central America playing baseball, he would settle in Sarasota, FL. While living here he enjoyed golfing, camping and going to sporting events. He passed away on May 19, 2015 and is survived by his mother, Ida Woodworth, his sister Jill Gaspar and brother Dean Woodworth, all who still reside in Maine; his son Brett and his wife Ashley Woodworth and grandson Brenner still reside in Sarasota, FL. A celebration of life will be held at 4000 N Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota from 2p-5p on Sunday May 24th. He would ask if in lieu of flowers, for donations for Brenner's college fund be made, as this was a dream of his. Service Information Date: Sunday, May 24, 2015 Time: 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
