Calvin H Drasher, 82, of Venice, FL , passed away on October 31,2016.
Cal was born November 29, 1933 in Freeland, PA. As a young man Cal moved to Branchburg, NJ where he met his wife of 52 years, Jean (Wendel) He was employed for many years as a painter for Johnson and Johnson. He enjoyed photography, canoeing and skiing in his younger days. He and Jean raised 3 children together in Branchburg before moving to White Haven, PA. and then finally retiring to Nokomis, FL.
Cal loved the Nokomis beach, coffee at the jetty and searching for treasure with his metal detector. Cal and Jean liked spending time with family and their many friends they made while living in the Spanish Lakes community in Nokomis.
In addition to his wife Jean, Cal is survived by his sister, Clara Maso of Belvidere, NJ, a son, Tim Drasher and his wife Deborah of Lincoln Park, NJ, daughters Tama Drasher and her husband Dan Smith of Dover, MA, and Jackie Roelant and her husband Richard of Nokomis, FL.
Six grandchildren, Danielle Bonk and her husband Jeffery of Hoboken NJ, Tim Drasher and his wife Brooke of Dunellen, NJ, Jessica Roelant of Brooklyn NY, Cady Smith of Oakland, CA, Alaina Smith of St. Louis, MO, and Connor Smith of Dover, MA.
Cal was predeceased by his mother, May Horn of North Miami Beach, FL, his father, Calvin Drasher of Freeland, PA, and his brother and sister in law, Lou and Ginny Drasher of Gainsville, FL.
Services will be announced at a later date.
