Cameron William Peters

Cameron William Peters, born October 24, 1935, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026 in Sarasota, Florida. Cameron’s ninety years were marked by devotion to family, deep commitment to his work, and a quiet joy found in his retirement years.

Cameron is survived by his beloved wife, June nee Lloyd of 68 years. Dearest father to Susan (J.R.) Birkenmaier, Karen (David) Russ, and Scott (Lisa) Peters and loving grandfather to Jennifer (Brian) Ladd, Andrew Russ, Emily Peters, Claire Peters and Sarah Peters. 

He is also fondly remembered as a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He studied architecture at the University of Illinois at Navy Pier before beginning his career. Cameron was proud of his decades of service as a Pipefitter with Local 597 at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago. Recently he was awarded a 70 year member pin. He also found his true pride in his family as he was always striving to ensure the well-being and happiness of those closest to him.

Services and interment private at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
