Charles Richard "Dick" Bennett, Sr.

Charles Richard ""Dick"" Bennett, 76, of North Port, FL and Lafayette, IN, passed away on November 18, 2017. Dick was born on August 26, 1941 in Lafayette, IN to Arthur J. and Geneva Juanita Bennett. He was a machinist with Fairfield Manufacturing for 31 years, retiring in 1996. He was also president of Eagles Lodge, previous Deacon at Community Reformed Church, Fairfield Athletic Association, and president of the Home Owners Association in Harbor Isles, FL. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sandra M. Bennett; children, Charles R. ""Rick"" (Paula) Bennett, Jr., Synda (Robert) Patterson, and Steven D. (Sharyn) Bennett; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A Family Memorial in Lafayette will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Church of Mulberry, P.O.
