Clark Edwards Moore

Clark Edwards Moore, age 90, of Venice, FL and formerly of Windsor, CT, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1936, to Felicia and Ralph Moore in Decorah, Iowa. Clark graduated from Sanderson Academy in Ashfield, MA, received a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a master’s degree from the University of Hartford in Connecticut. He was a Managing Director at Cigna Life Insurance in Bloomfield, CT for over 35 years before retiring to Venice in 1997.
Clark devoted many hours as a volunteer docent at Historic Spanish Point/Selby Gardens in Osprey, FL. He also volunteered at Historic Fort Number 4 in Charlestown, NH. In Windsor, CT he was involved in the music parents’ organization, Boy Scouts and was an active member of First Church. Clark was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean War.
Clark is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Felicia Moore; his sister, Julia Ladd; his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Beals Moore and his son, Jeffrey Moore.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Amy Covell of Swanville, ME, Jennifer Santo of Salem, MA; three grandsons, four granddaughters, one great-granddaughter and one great-grandson.
An interment will be held this fall in Ashfield, MA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to Venice United Church of Christ, 620 Shamrock Blvd, Venice, FL 34293.
Clark will be deeply missed by his friends and family. He will be remembered for his blue eyes and engaging smile.
