Daryl H. Bois
May 12, 1952 — Jun 23, 2026
Daryl Harrington Bois, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away at 5:30 pm on June 23, 2026, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice, Florida, with her family by her side. She was born Daryl Jean Harrington on May 12, 1952, in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, to Francis W. Harrington and Alice L. (Rowe) Harrington.
Daryl was married to Paul R. Bois for 22 wonderful years. Together, they made their home in Somersworth, New Hampshire, before moving to Venice, Florida, where they spent the last four years. Daryl was generous to her core, giving freely of her time, energy, and heart. She was known for her toughness and strong will, facing life's challenges with remarkable resilience. Her love of bold, joyful colors brought vibrancy into the lives of everyone around her.
Above all, Daryl was an amazing wife, mom, and grandmother, pouring boundless love and unwavering support into her family. Her sassiness, fierce love, and the comfort of knowing she was always in your corner will be deeply missed. Her warmth, strength, and unapologetic spirit will live on in everyone who knew and loved her.
To her brothers, Daryl was a legend from the very beginning—fearless and fiercely protective. Their childhood was filled with adventures, from skating and playing outside for hours to jumping off the garage roof into the snow. Daryl had a deep love for animals, especially her Dobermans and the horses she rode at a neighbor's farm. Her spirited nature was legendary; she often succeeded in tossing her brothers into the lake, a story that still brings smiles today. She showed people they mattered, like surprising her brother with an Elvis Presley album—a cherished memory. Though life took them in different directions, they always came together to celebrate milestones, carrying a lifetime of shared stories and memories.
Daryl dedicated 25 years of her career as a Personnelist at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Sidmore; stepchildren, Kathleen Hogan and Alan Bois; siblings, Francis Harrington, Joyce Kopala, and Chris Harrington; several nieces and nephews; and five grandchildren: Zoe Allen, Piper Allen, Ren Allen, Mason Bois, and Ava Bois. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, James Harrington.
Daryl's generous spirit, fierce love, and vibrant presence will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to plant a tree in her honor.
