Donald Richard Mcmillin

Donald Richard McMillin, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Renate Schutz McMillin; 5 sons, 3 daughters, 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many close friends. Born and raised in Jennings, Louisiana, he joined the United States Air Force as a young adult. He then moved to Indiana where he became a John Deere Dealer which he was very passionate about. After he retired in 1996 and moved to Venice, Florida he realized that retirement was not for him and built a Holiday Inn Express in Gainesville, Florida. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His will be dearly missed. A celebration of life ceremony will be held December 10, 2016 at the Christ United Methodist Church 1475 Center Road Venice, Florida at 2pm.
