Donald R. White

Donald R. White, 91, of Venice, FL, formerly of Cleveland, OH, died on September 19, 2014. Donald served in the U.S. Army Fifth Ranger Battalion and received two purple hearts, a silver star, a bronze star, and multiple honors. He was injured on D-Day invasion. He was a member of the Warren G. Harding Masonic Lodge in OH, VFW, Moose Lodge, Venice Shrine Club Keystone Kops, and the Sahib Shrine. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lenore White, of Venice, FL; daughter, Donna (Bob) Egner of Lake Moore, OH; two grandchildren, Jacob Egner and Lee (Brian) Schultz; and great grandson Maxwell Schultz. Inurnment will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date.
