Donna Lee Bates

Donna Lee Bates, 71, of Venice, FL formerly of Benton Harbor, MI, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2015. Donna Lee was born on November 9, 1943 in Benton Harbor, MI to William Gordon Case and Donna Louise Case (Phillips). Donna Lee was an accounts manager for Bates File, and many other businesses until she retired working for Deans Tree Service. Donna Lee was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving parents and her husband of 49 years James E. Bates, who passed just in April of 2015. She is survived by her loving daughter Dawn Marie, son- in-law Eddie and granddaughter Darian Marielle, all of Venice, as well as her step-daughter Ronda Angelo of Benton Harbor, MI, step-son, James Robert Bates, of MO, granddaughters, DeAnna Potter and Stephanie Edwards of MO, Krista Bates of MO and Christopher Bates of MI. Sisters, Diana Jackson of Tampa, Wilma Injasoulian, of MI, and Bonnie Stewart of Houston, TX and many other loves family and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and her Celebration of Life Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel at 265 Nokomis Ave, Venice.
