Donna A. Cogswell

Cogswell, Donna Allison Mar. 16, 1944 - Nov. 14, 2013 Donna Allison Cogswell, 69, of Nokomis, Fl., formerly of Edison, N.J. and Levittown, Pa., passed away at home, with her family present on November 14, 2013. ""Celebration of Life Services"" will be held, Wednesday, December 18, at V.F.W. Post 8118, Venice Fl. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery at a date and time to be determined. Donna is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald J. Cogswell, son Theodore S. Cogswell of Seattle, Washington, son Andrew J. Cogswell, daughter in law Susanne Cogswell, grandson Andrew J. Cogswell Jr., and granddaughter Kelly Cogswell, all of South River, N. J. Donna was the daughter of Dr. John Donald Allison and Ruth Morgan Allison of Trenton and Whiting (Crestwood Village), N.J. Donna graduated from Division Ave High School in Levittown, N. Y. and Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J. Donna worked for L'Oreal Lancôme Cosmetics in Clark, N.J. and sold residential and commercial Real Estate at Charles Smith Agency, Century 21, Edison, N.J. She retired in June 2005 and moved with her husband to Nokomis, Fl. in December, 2005. Donna was the President of the Beta Chi Chapter (Venice, Fl.) of Phi Beta Psi Sorority, a national non-academic charitable organization in cancer research, President of Laurel Woodlands Homeowners Association, Nokomis, Fl., past membership chairman of Newcomers of Venice Alumni, past editor of Newcomers of Venice newsletter and a past Northeast Regional District Director for Phi Chi Theta, a National Women's Professional Fraternity in Business. Donna was a truly wonderful wife, loving mother and friend to many. She will be dearly missed. Donna adored her grandchildren. Donna loved interacting with people, organizing events and participating in cancer fund drives.
