Dorothy H. "Dottie" Allen

Dorothy ""Dottie"" Helen Allen, 91, Venice, FL, formerly of Midland, MI passed away December 30, 2013. Dottie was born May 7, 1922 in Monroe, MI to Cora (Gansley) and Ora Sessions. She was a graduate of Albion College with a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics. A member of various women's groups in Midland, she was a wonderful cook, and seamstress. She and Gary were avid sailors and had been snow birds for 30 years. Survivors include her beloved husband of 69 year, Garald ""Gary"" F. Allen; son, John G. (Liz) Allen of Clarkston, MI; daughter, Kathleen S. (Vance) Pomranky of Mokena, IL; six grandchildren: Christopher, Emily, Esther, Luke, Bethany and Sharon. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 2 PM with Funeral Service at 2 PM, Thursday, January 9 at Harbor Lights in Venice. Burial will take place in Midland Cemetery in Midland, MI.
