Edward Ed Forney

Ed was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Irene and Arthur Forney. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Graduated from Youngstown University June 1951. He then served as a Wire Electronic Instructor at the U.S. Army Signal School at Fort Monmouth, NJ. He married Gloria Jamie Masters of Toronto, Canada in 1953. Ed joined Mobil Oil in 1954 as an Industrial Salesmanin Youngstown, Ohio. He transferred to Chicago in 1968 as Marketing Manager, then to Mobil Headquarters in Fairfax, VA in 1981 as Pricing and Contacts Manager. He took early retirement in 1984 and moved to Southbay Yacht & Racquet Club in Osprey, FL. He and Gloria moved to the Vineyards of Silver Oak in 2003. Gloria passed away in March 2008. He is survived by a son Ron and grand daughter Laura from Woodstock, IL, his faithful dog Woo, nieces and a nephew in Canada. He was preceded in death by a daughter Jamie and son Darren. Ed was a member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Osprey, FL.
