Edward John Sacksteder, Jr.
January 12, 1941 — August 8, 2014
Born January 12, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky and died August 8, 2014. Ed was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a graduate of the University of Louisville with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Ed worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 33 years, with positions in Tennessee and Michigan.
After retiring, Ed moved to North Port, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sue Pfaadt of North Port, daughter Deborah (Troy) von Kutzleben of Atlanta, Georgia, son Daniel (Robin) of Osprey, Florida and his beloved grandchildren Dylan Sacksteder of Osprey, Ava and Brandt von Kutzleben of Atlanta.
Ed was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Dominic's Church, Kingsport, TN for 32 years and a member of San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port since 2008. A memorial mass will be held August 16th at 10:30am at San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port, FL.
And inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, KY on August 23rd, at 11am. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004), the American Cancer Society, (P.O.
