Edwin A. ""Joe"" Raydon age 73 of Venice FL 34285 formerly of Normal, IL passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Venice Regional Bay Front Health, Venice FL. His funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with military rites accorded at the funeral home by the Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor Guard. Rick Ringer will be officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Monday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of the donors choice. Joe was born December 9, 1941 in Bloomington, IL. The son of Roland Wilson and Marie B. Breese Raydon. He married Sharon Campbell on December 29, 2006 in Bloomington, IL. She survives. Also Surviving 5 Children; Lorri Raydon, Friendswood, TX, Jennifer (Chris) Hardesty, Stanford, IL, Kimberly Antunez, Houston, TX, Carrie Scoville, Totnes, Devon, United Kingdom, Mark Raydon, Raleigh, NC, Jamie Nogueiras, Florida; 10 Grandchildren, Kyle, Travis, Taryn, Abbie, Jake, Olivia, Dylan, Eva, Imogen, Esme; 2 Great Grandchildren, Emma & Riley; Great Great Grandchildren;
1 brother, Roger (Nellie) Raydon, Mapleton, IL 309-635-6856 and a sister, Donna (John) King, Normal, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Joe served in the US Army for 29 years. He had worked at the railroad, Sears and Whirlpool Company. Joe loved the outdoors, boating, antique car shows, NASCAR and traveling extensively around the world. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and enjoyed going to his grandchildren's events.
