F. Richard ""Dick"" Ringfelt, 80, of Venice went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2015. He served his country in the U.S. Navy at Glenview Naval Air Station. He was one of the founders of Datafax Computer Services, Ideal Computer, Inc., and Leasemore, Inc. Dick was a founding partner of Imperial International Learning Corp., an educational publishing company based in Kankakee, IL. He served as the company's CFO from its inception in 1964. Dick served as Director of Manitoqua Ministries for ten years in the 1980s serving over 30,000 people a year. He was a board member of the Chicago's Layman League of the Reformed Church, a support ministry of inner city projects. For the past 16 years Dick has served as the Business Administrator for Englewood United Methodist Church. Dick was known for his handlebar mustache and American flag-inspired clothing. He was a family man, a friend, and mentor. Dick had a great business sense, was an advisor and encourager to many, and was a man of strong faith and trust in the Lord. Dick was a collector of many antiques; including cars, motorbikes, pipes, and cameras, just to name a few. He had a love of photography and serving others, and enjoyed mentoring in the Decisions to Win program at Venice High School. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Carole Dee, daughters DeeAnn Roy (Greg) , Lisa VanderSchaaf (Doug), & Kristy Kirchner, grandchildren Jenna, Ashley, Justyne, Alissa, Cody, Andrew, Dustin (Jessica), & Maggie, and great-grandchildren Scarlet & Rebel Grace. A great practical joker, Dick will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dick's life will be celebrated at 2 P.M. on Thursday May 14th, at Venice Presbyterian Church, with inurnment at a later date in the church memorial garden.
