Frederick Jones

Frederick H. Jones, age 80, of North Port, FL died on November 5, 2015. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to John and Oda (nee Fedewa) Jones on June 21, 1935. Fred was raised in Howell, MI, and came to North Port in 2009. He worked for General Motors as a reliability engineer, retiring in 1991. Fred was an active member of the Elks, Moose, Eagles, and AmVets and was a member of the Catholic faith. He was referred to as ""Sarge"" as a reflection of his service in the National Guard. Surviving family members include his wife, Faye of North Port; sons Mike (Cathy) of Wilmington, NC and Neal (Janice) of Reno, NV; daughter Carol (Nate) of New Jersey; grandchildren Megan and Justin (Rachael); and great grandchild Tyler. Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Joe. No services are scheduled at this time.
