Gail Ann Day

Gail Ann Day of Venice, Florida, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born in Malden, Massachusetts, on May 9, 1943, and moved to Venice in 1997 from Cheshire, Connecticut.

Gail was a bookkeeper and entrepreneur. After retiring, she enjoyed being an active member of Pelican Pointe Golf & Country Club in Venice, where she participated in the Niners Golf League and proudly achieved a hole-in-one. She also enjoyed playing games such as Shanghai, Rummy, and Mahjong, completing search puzzles, and visiting all 30 Major League Baseball parks.

Gail is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas S. Day, Jr.; her son, Christopher Allen Day; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Day; brother, Lee Phalen; sister-in-law, Marion Phalen; niece, Kimberlee Phalen; and nephew, Brian Phalen. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas C. Day.

A viewing for Gail will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Burial will take place at Venice Memorial Gardens.
