Gail Aileen Toscano

Gayle Aileen Toscano, age 68, of Venice, FL, died on March 12, 2016. She was born in Chicago, IL on July 15, 1947 to Henry and Marion Vander Ploeg. Gayle was a long time Chicago area resident, and came to Venice from Orland Park in 2013. She was a graduate of the Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Gayle worked at St Francis Hospital/Metro South Medical Center in Blue Island, IL for 44 years. She was also an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts, American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. She also enjoyed traveling and loved nature. Surviving family members include her husband, James Toscano of Venice; daughters Jennifer Toscano of Brentwood, CA and Kimberly Holmes of Stillwater, OK; and grandchildren Harlan, Xavier, and Miles. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation with service will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Tuesday, March 15th from 10 am - 12 noon.
