Gene Gilbert Wilcox, 77 years, was born on July 19, 1940 in East Smithfield, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Sally (nee) Budd Casaccia Wilcox, his three children, Esther Louise Sams, Neil J Wilcox (Rachel), Gerald Gilbert Wilcox (Emily), his grandchildren, Kimberly (nee Sams) Carmona (Francisco), Philip Sams, Nichole (nee Wilcox) Rogers (Dan), and Gene Francis Wilcox (Chi Chi), and his sister, Sandra (nee Wilcox) Cole, and his brother, James Wilcox.
He was predeceased by his parents, Gilbert and Edith Wilcox, his siblings, Donna Ruby (nee Wilcox) Murphy, and Robert Wilcox, and Gene's first wife, Jeanette (nee Welch) Wilcox.
Gene was the owner and operator of Wilcox Building Specialties, Inc. for over 30 years. However, his first love was his faith and being one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was baptized on May 23, 1970 and was privileged to participate in many activities with the organization since. His favorite activity was to teach the Bible and reach the heart by its message.
There will be a memorial held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Manasota Beach on April 28 at 2 o'clock. There will also be a memorial service in Ithaca NY at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 5 at 1:30. In lieu of flowers or contributions, donations can be made to the world wide work of Jehovah Witneses through their website www.jw.org.
