George W. Constantin

George W. Constantin, 85, of Venice, formerly of Englewood, CO, and Convent Station, NJ, died peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 2, 2012. He was born on September 22, 1926 in Manhattan, NY, to Dumitru and Georgette Constantin. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, in 1957 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and attended New York University to pursue an MBA. He joined the Johns-Manville Corporation in 1957 and retired after 25 years of service. He went on to found Roofing Systems Consultants, Inc. George was a U.S. Army Air Corps WWII veteran. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores; his daughters Suzanne Stone of Moraga, CA, Lauren Whittle of Wheaton, IL, Alysia Carney of Cary, NC; and 5 grandchildren. A funeral service, with reception following, will be held at 10 A.M. on Monday, January 9, 2012 at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 1115 Center Road, Venice, FL.
