George Andrew Rydout

George Andrew Rydout, age 94, of Venice, FL, died on January 31, 2014. He was born in Long Island City, Queens, NY on November 28, 1919. George grew up in Jackson Heights, NY, and also lived in West Babylon, NY. In 1975, he moved to Del Ray Beach, FL, and has resided in Venice since 2004. George earned his Bachelors Degree from Long Island University and his Masters from Columbia University. He taught physical education at Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, NY. George was a WWII US Navy veteran, service from 1942-1946. Surviving family members include his children, Laura Scott of Peterborough, NH and Venice, FL and Gary Rydout of Portland, OR; grandchildren Andrew Scott of Alexandria, VA, Emily Scott of Somerville, MA, and Grace and Clara Rydout, both of Portland, OR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Evelyn Friberg Rydout in 2006. Services will be held in New Hampshire at a later date.
