Gisela E. Burke

Gisela Emma Burke, age 89, of Venice, died on October 31, 2015. She was born in Hamburg, Germany on February 11, 1926. Gisela emigrated to The US in 1951 and came to Venice from Chicago in 1980. Surviving family members include her grandchildren, Louis, Wesley and Russell Pruchnicki and Michelle Rispin; 8 great grandchildren; sisters Ruth Postmeyer and Barbara Burmeister, both of Germany; and niece Anja Wolfram. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter and son Jan Pruchnicki. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Epiphany Cathedral on Thursday, November 5th at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice.
