Harold​ ​E. ​Hughes​ ​Sr.,​ ​88,​ ​entered​ ​into​ ​eternal​ ​rest​ ​on​ ​November​ ​27th,​ ​2017​ ​at Englewood, Florida.​ ​He​ ​was​ ​born​ ​February​ ​16th,​ ​1929​ ​in​ ​Marysville,​ ​Ohio​ ​to​ ​Edward​ ​and Bessie​ ​Jewett​ ​Hughes.​ ​He​ ​was​ ​raised​ ​by​ ​his​ ​adopted​ ​parents​ ​Edwin​ ​and​ ​Rosaline​ ​Cole of​ ​Marietta,​ ​Ohio. He​ ​served​ ​in​ ​the​ ​military​ ​as​ ​a​ ​Staff​ ​Sgt​ ​in​ ​Army​ ​82nd​ ​airborne​ ​division,​ ​501BN. He​ ​served​ ​3​ ​campaigns:​ ​France​ ​(Nance),​ ​Belgium​ ​(Brussels),​ ​Germany​ ​(Stuttgart). He​ ​is​ ​survived​ ​by​ ​his​ ​wife​ ​Valentia​ ​Rolle​ ​Hughes​ ​and​ ​his​ ​children: Candy​ ​and​ ​Ed​ ​Fite​ ​of​ ​Peebles,​ ​Ohio Harold​ ​and​ ​Betty​ ​Hughes​ ​Jr.​ ​of​ ​Freeport,​ ​Grand​ ​Bahama​ ​Island Drema​ ​Lytle​ ​of​ ​Naples,​ ​Florida Johnnie​ ​Irvin​ ​of​ ​Piketon,​ ​Ohio Thomas​ ​and​ ​Sharon​ ​Hughes​ ​Sr.​ ​of​ ​North​ ​Port,​ ​Florida Charles​ ​Hughes​ ​Sr.​ ​of​ ​Englewood,​ ​Florida Deborah​ ​Mienert​ ​Hughes​ ​of​ ​Kissimmee,​ ​Florida And​ ​a​ ​step-son​ ​Kevin​ ​Forbes​ ​""KJ""​ ​of​ ​Englewood,​ ​Florida He​ ​had​ ​18​ ​grandchildren​ ​and​ ​27​ ​great​ ​grandchildren.​ ​He​ ​was​ ​predeceased​ ​by his​ ​wife​ ​Janice​ ​Evelyn​ ​Hughes,​ ​son​ ​William​ ​C.​ ​Hughes​ ​""Feller"",​ ​and​ ​son-in-law's​ ​Victor Lytle​ ​and​ ​John​ ​R.​ ​Irvin​ ​Sr. The​ ​family​ ​is​ ​having​ ​a​ ​viewing​ ​on​ ​Saturday,​ ​December​ ​2nd,​ ​2017​ ​from​ ​1pm​ ​to​ ​2pm​ ​at​ ​Farley​ ​Funeral​ ​Home,​ ​5900​ ​S.​ ​Biscayne​ ​Dr.,​ ​North​ ​Port,​ ​FL,​ ​34287.
