Harold Scott passed away Monday, November 23, 2015. Harold was born in Flint, MI to Fred E. Scott and Grace Etolia (Locke) Scott, September 24, 1927. He grew up in Flint and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1946. He met his beloved wife, ""Jean Garland"" at Riverside Tabernacle Assembly of God Church. He served in the Army from 1946-1948. He worked as a Journeyman Plaster for years and later worked for General Motors where he retired from in 1987. In 1990 he and Jean moved to Venice to be near family. His wife Margaret ""Jean"" preceded Harold in death March 27, 2013.
Harold is survived by his daughter Darrell L. (Edmund) Mogford of Venice, FL.; his sons Dr. Kent G (Rev. Katy) Scott of Oro Valley, AZ., and Kevin D. (Debbie) Scott of Linden, MI.; two sisters, Deloris (Allan) Gies, and Myra (Robert) Anderson of Venice, FL; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2-3 PM with a Celebration of Life Service at 3 PM service on January 24, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Venice, 312 Miami Ave., Venice. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL. 34238 or First Baptist Church, 312 W. Miami Ave., Venice, FL. 34285
