Harold Robert Wanke

Harold Robert Wanke, age 89, of Nokomis, FL, died March 17, 2018. He was born in Rockford, IL on August 17, 1928 to Hazel (Walker) and Robel Wanke. Harold worked as a design engineer in manufacturing. He was an active member of The American Legion and Moose Clubs. He enjoyed golfing, going to the casino, and being at the lakes with his family around. He enjoyed his Sunday breakfast club, reading, and he loved to go dancing. Harold is survived by his life partner Donna King, brother Richard E (Mary) Wanke of Crystal River Fl., sister Particia K Campbell of Cherry Valley Il. daughter Karrie M. (Larry) Arno Fort Myers Beach Fl., Son James P. Wanke (Elizabeth Turner) Venice Fl. Grand Kids Kristina Arno, Jeffrey Arno and Great Grandson Braden Arno of Rockford Il. Predeceased by Wife Betty (Donovan) Wanke. Farley Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements.
