Harry ""Mel"" Little, age 78, of Venice, FL, passed away on July 28, 2017. He was born in Owosso, MI on November 23, 1938 to Lloyd and Arlene Little.
Mel worked as a mechanical draftsman and engineer before retiring. He was a veteran of the US Army.
Mel enjoyed all sports, and participated in bowling, tennis, racquetball and golf. He was the #1 fan for any sport his grandchildren were participating in, and loved University of Michigan sports. Mel was a great woodworker as well. He could build any kind of gadget out of wood. Mel also enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and using his CB radio.
Surviving family members include his daughter Tammy Porath (Joe), grandchildren Danielle Smith (David) and Trina; daughter Lisa Ridley (Joe Kowalczyk), grandchildren Courtney, Kyle, Christopher, Joey (Devon), great grandchildren Keegan, Rachel, Marceline and Parker, Tank; daughter Sandie Kovalsky (Ron), grandchildren Tabitha, Ronnie, and Nikkie, great grandchild Taylor; daughter Michelle Woodworth, grandchildren Fredrick and Marissa; daughter Heather Cox (Jeff), grandchildren Mac and Mady; and his brothers Jim and Doug.
A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church in Venice on Monday, July 31st at 5 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Florida Cancer Specialists or the the American Cancer Society. Service Information
