Harry Virgil Williams II, 70, originally from Louisville, KY, passed away on Christmas Day at his home in Venice, Florida. His love of all things automotive led him to a career in the car business. After 40 years, he retired to Venice, Fl in 2005. In 2008, he came out of retirement to accept a position with the Florida Department of Revenue, where he worked until his death. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a proud member of the NRA, and a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Lorelle Williams, and his bride of 28 years Margaret (McGunn). He is survived by his wife and loving companion Barbara, his sister Frances Eline, his daughter Lorelle Mahoney (Aaron) and his sons Harry (Kristi) and Philip (Pam). He had a granddaughter Meg and a grandson Jacob. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as George the Cat. Arrangements in are being handled by Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd., in LouisvilleKentucky. Visitation will be held at Ratterman Brothers on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 10am-12pm, followed by burial at CaveHillCemetery. There will be a celebration of life held at the Crows Nest in Venice, Florida at a later date. Donations may be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
