Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother Ida Rita Bartolotta, 98, of Venice, FL, formerly of Boynton Beach, FL, died peacefully on June 29, 2016 with family present. Ida was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 2, 1918. Following her 22 years with her husband Lou raising their family in Massapequa Park, NY, they moved to Florida. There Ida worked for the Broward County Clerk of Courts in Fort Lauderdale, FL for 9 years. Ida was founder of the Rosary Society at Aston Gardens and was also an Aston Gardens Ambassador. But first and foremost, Ida was always a proud, full time wife, mother and homemaker. Survivors include her loving children Margaret Worhle of Ridge, NY, Peter Bartolotta of North Port, FL, Lou and Esme Bartolotta of Eastham, MA, and Robert Bartolotta of Venice, FL. Ida was the warm and loving grandmother of eight (Jennifer, Michael, Heather, Derek, Adam, Andrew, Taryn, Matt); eleven great grandchildren (Ryan, Jake, Zack, Autumn, Hailey, Cody, Arianna, Skylar, Bailey, Aidan and Sophia) and one great great grandchild (Natalie Rose). Ida was predeceased in 2008 by Louis P. Bartolotta, her husband of 67 years, and by her daughter-in-law Deirdre in 2013 and son-in-law Bill in 2013. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 3rd from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Farley Funeral Home North Port Chapel. A second visitation will follow on Tuesday, July 5th, from 9:00am – 10:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 5th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice, FL. Burial will follow at 1:00pm at Sarasota National Cemetery.
