John N. Bailey

View Video Tribute John N. Bailey, Jr., age 83, of Venice died on April 23, 2012. He was born in Woodmere, FL which is now a section of Venice, and resided here his entire life. He was owner of John Bailey Land Clearing in Venice for over 50 years before he retired. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Venice and the AACA Antique Car Club of Venice. He is survived by his son, John Bailey III of Venice; daughters Judy Shipps and husband Tom of Nokomis, and Nancy Tuttle and husband Kenneth of Sarasota; grandchildren Candy and Kristen Shipps of Nokomis and John Bailey IV and wife Erin of Deltona and great grandchild John Bailey V, also of Deltona. Visitation will be from 9 ââ‚"" 10 am at First Baptist Church in Venice, followed by a funeral service at 10 am. Burial will be at Jesse Knight Cemetery in Nokomis.
