John Robert Burns, born in Brooklyn, NY on June 14, 1936, passed away September 24, 2014 in his home. He was a Navy veteran, an engineer, and international business entrepreneur, residing many years on Siesta Key. He was a member of the Victory Chapel Church of God, Sarasota. He is survived by daughters Bonnie Burns Mann, Julianna Burns, son James Burns and the late Robert Burns, and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Sarasota National Veterans Cemetery on October 20, 2014.
