John Kelly

John Joseph Patrick Kelly, age 92, of Venice, FL, died on December 20, 2016. He was born on August 31, 1924 in New York City and came to Venice from Miami, FL in 1991. He was employed by Southern Bell in Miami, retiring as a Personnel Manager after 35 years. John was a Marine Corps Veteran and served during WWII. Surviving family members include his wife, Ethel, of Venice; daughters Cathleen Hahn of Sun City, CA, and Diane Kelly of Colorado Springs, CO; step sons Lloyd Sandidge of Conyers, GA, and Ray Sandidge of Winter Park, FL; step daughter Joanne Johnstone of Miami, FL; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Thursday, January 5th from 10-11 AM with a funeral at 11 AM. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Celebration of the wonderful life of John Kelly will be held at 2 PM at the clubhouse at 606 Bird Bay Drive South, Venice, FL 34285. Everyone is welcome to attend.
