John Louis Marchegiani

John Louis Marchegiani, 85, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of West Paterson, NJ passed away peacefully on February 17, 2013. John, a United States Army veteran, had a generous heart and a helping hand to give to others. He enjoyed spending time with his family, volunteering at local theaters, as well as participating in many non-profit fundraisers. John was noted for his unique sense of humor, and a lifelong NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. John was loved by many. He is survived by his life partner, Terri McConnell; his son, John (Susan), grandchildren: Denise (Chris), Brianna, Deborah, Tom, Bob, and 5 great grandchildren, as well as his siblings: Grace Merino, Jean Marchegiani, and Rocco Marchegiani. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Marchegiani and his daughter, Debra Angelo. John will be greatly missed, and forever in our hearts. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Friday, February 22 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM, Saturday, February 23 at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice.
