John V. Sherrard

John V. Sherrard, Jr., 59, of Venice, FL died on January 29, 2012. John was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Venice and retired from City of Venice Fire Department as a Captain after 22 years. He was instrumental in developing the hazardous materials program and it’s success, while serving as a team leader for several years. Survivors include his wife, Lynn Sherrard of Venice, FL; daughter Abey (Jeff) Drew of Venice, FL; son Corey (Jennifer) Sherrard of Kearneysville, WV; mother Rose Sherrard of Arcadia, FL; six grandchildren, Emily, Jon, Caroline, David, Chailynn, and Corben; and his bulldog, Deuce.
