Joseph J. Adamowicz

Joseph J. Adamowicz, age 85, of North Port, Florida and formerly of Meriden, Connecticut, passed away on March 12, 2013. He was born on May 17, 1927 in Hartford, Connecticut. Joseph moved to North Port in 1984 from Meriden, Connecticut. He was a member of and had a rosary ministry based out of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice, FL. Joseph had served in the US Army Air Force and had received a Victory Medal during WW II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia. Survivors include his three sons, Richard B., Mark J., John J. all of Meriden, Connecticut and a daughter, Beverly A. Pentzak of North Port. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and huge Boston Red Sox fan. Joseph was a very generous and charitable man, who touched the lives of countless individuals. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, Monday, March 18 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Service Information Date: Monday, March 18, 2013 Time: 11:00 am
