Judith Cox

Judith M. Cox, 74, of Venice, passed away on Saturday, May 9. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Franklin D. Cox; daughter Leslie and her spouse Dennis, of Hartsville, SC; son Franklin Jr., his spouse Linda and granddaughters Sarah and Jesse of Lakewood Ranch; and son James and his wife Michele of Orlando. Judie was born in Sewickley, PA and met Frank at Thiel College. They raised their family in Irwin, PA for 23 years before relocating to Stratford , CT for 15 years. Frank and Judie retired to Venice in 1999. Judie loved her dachshunds, Andy and Eddy, as well as decorating, reading, beautiful flowers, and spending time with friends and family. A private family service will be held at Farley Funeral Home in Venice on Wednesday, May 13, followed by a celebration of her life at Pelican Pointe County Club at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to PetSmart Charities.
