Katherine Ann Dexter

Katherine Ann Nehil Dexter was born on April 11, 1918, in Midland, Michigan and died on July 3, 2017, in Venice, Florida. Kate was a much loved woman – she was a fabulous daughter, sister, wife, mother of 5, mother-in-law of 4, grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 16, and friend to all. Although her memory failed her at the end, she lived her life before dementia as fully and joyfully as anyone could! She was 99 years old, married for 74 years to John, and a good and faithful servant of the Lord. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Epiphany Cathedral. Suggested remembrances may be sent to The Katherine N. Dexter Big Brothers Big Sisters Endowment Fund at The Midland Area Community Foundation, 76 Ashman Circle, Midland MI 48640. This endowment, called the Kate’s Camp for Kids Fund, provides scholarships for children to attend summer camp. Rest in Peace, Mom, and we know you are going to stir things up a bit.
