Kathleen M. Burke

Dr. Kathleen M. Burke, 40, of Greer, SC passed away May 14, 2012. Kathleen was born on November 24, 1971 in Boston, MA to Mary “Kitty” (Carr) and John F. Burke. Kathleen graduated from New England College of Optometry and did her residency at the Boston VA. She loved her career working with Veterans at the VA Optometry Clinic in Greenville, SC. She treasured spending time with her many friends, and visiting her family in Florida often. Her strong faith in God, her kindness, and unconditional love for others was an inspiration to all that knew her. Survivors include her loving parents; her twin sister, Christine Sanford and brother- in-law Patrick Sanford, all of Venice, FL; brother, Peter Burke of Greensboro, NC; brother, Patrick Burke and nieces Helen and Mary “Ellie” Sanford, all of Venice FL. At her request, no service will be held. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, is handling arrangements.
