Kenneth Woods, Jr.

Kenneth Paul Woods, 74, of Venice, FL, passed away on August 22, 2017. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and graduated from Youngstown University, Youngstown, OH, with a degree in Business. Kenneth worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation for over 40 years working in Pittsburgh, Wisconsin and Bethlehem, PA, as a Field and Project Expeditor and as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist. He proudly served in the Navy aboard an oiler, the USS Pawtucket, for two years. He was also a 50-year Mason and member of the Sahib Shrine, Sarasota, FL. He served as President of the Tall Cedars Golf League, Bethlehem, PA, for many years. His love of golf was well known by his friends. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Colleen Woods; sister, Barbara Wilson; niece Shannon (Gregory) Phillips; and sister-in-law Maureen (Dennis Falat) Valente; nephew Kevin Valente; and grand-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Paul and Helen (nee Hayducko) Woods. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 31st at 10:30AM at Sarasota National Cemetery. Farley Funeral Homes & Crematory is handling arrangements.
