Larry Arden Smith

We wanted Larry to stay with us because he was such a wonderful person to be around. All of us wanted to be like him… a giant of a man in love, compassion, and character. Larry went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 28th. He is survived by Liz, his wife of 30 years, sons John of Rapid River, MI, Joe of Dewitt, MI, Greg (Michelle) of Franklin, TN, daughter Kristin (Rick) Getter of Dewitt, MI, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and sister Diana Willis of Lansing, MI. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Larry's family will receive friends at the church from 10:30am until service time on Saturday, August 3rd with a celebration of his life following at 11:00am, all at Venice Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorial contributions be made to the Music Program at Venice Church of the Nazarene, 1535 E. Venice Ave., Venice, FL 34292. Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel has been selected to care for arrangements.
