Larry Thomson

Larry A. Thomson, age 76, of Rotonda West, passed away on July 28, 2017 in the presence of his loving family. He was born in Teaneck, NJ on December 11, 1940, and came to Florida in 1979 from Saddlebrook, NJ. Larry was a Field Engineer for Detroit Diesel in Detroit before retiring. He served as past president for both Eastern Bus and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Active in Florida, he was a volunteer with the Suncoast Humane Society, the Gulf Cove Moose Lodge and was past Exalted Ruler of the B.P.O.E. Larry was a proud veteran of the US Air Force serving as an Airman, First Class. Surviving family members include his wife, Pat; daughters Vangi-Marie Rovero (Robert) of Pompton Plains, NJ and Trista Snook (John) of Tampa, FL; grandsons Michael and Christopher Rovero; and sister Barbara Palfreyman (Terry) of Farmington, NM.
