Lawrence Richard Cardamone, Dds

Dr. Lawrence R. Cardamone, 90, died 8/31/2015 in Venice, FL. He was born in Utica, NY 12/11/1924, the youngest of nine children of Frank and Lucy Sacco Cardamone. He attended local schools and graduated with a B.S. degree from Holy Cross College. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Korea and achieving the rank of Sergeant. He attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry on the GI Bill and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He practiced general dentistry in Utica, NY for 35 years and retired to Englewood, FL in 1992. He was a life-long member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society, Oneider/Herkimer Dental Society and Psi Omega Fraternity. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Roberta Andries Cardamone, son Paul (wife Eliett), daughter Ann Williams, son David Cardamone, granddaughter Elysa Cardamone, many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by son Stephen. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday 9/13/2015 from 2pm until 4pm, with a service at 2:30pm, all at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Inurnment will take place at Gulf Pines Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. A mass will be said at Epiphany Cathedral, Venice, at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
