Linda Louise (Kline) Lotz

Linda Louise (Kline) Lotz, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Findlay, Ohio, died on July 18, 2026 after living with dementia. She was born March 31, 1949, in Meadville, Pennsylvania.

Linda married Robert “Bob” Lotz on June 21, 1969, beginning a partnership that lasted more than 56 years. He survives her. She is also survived by her sister, Lori Engles of Hickory, North Carolina; her children, Amanda Lotz and her husband, Wesley Huffstutter, of Brisbane, Australia, Nick Lotz and his wife, Jill, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and her grandchildren, Sayre and Calla Lotstutter and Hogan and Griffin Lotz.

A gifted cook and thoughtful host, Linda could turn an ordinary gathering into an occasion. She loved traveling with Bob and especially treasured family trips to the Caribbean. Wherever she went, she enjoyed learning about the culture and food of the places she visited and returning with gifts and stories.

Linda also loved Jimmy Buffett, public radio, art, and gardening. She had impeccable style and brought creativity and her own distinctive touch to everything she did. An avid reader throughout her life, she remained a formidable trivia player even as she experienced dementia.

Linda graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1975 and began her career as a teacher with Ottawa-Glandorf Schools. After moving to Findlay in 1978, she worked at Patterson’s Department Store and Inez O’Brien’s dress shop before spending 22 years in the office of First Presbyterian Church. She later served as executive director of Hancock County Cancer Patient Services; as a cancer survivor it was a role that reflected her commitment to her community.

Linda was active in many areas of Findlay life, including the American Association of University Women, Panhellenic Council, Findlay Service League, Findlay Arts Council, Shakespeare Club, Gourmet Club, and many others.

She will be dearly missed by family and friends grateful to have many memories of good food, drink, and laughter with her.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Findlay, Ohio on October 2, 2026 at 11am.
